Taylor County Schools community, families and students,
The American Rescue Plan is providing $6,075.382.42 to Taylor County Schools to support Learning Recovery and Innovation, Health and Safety and Infrastructure needs for students and staff. The process to budget for these areas began with an internal stakeholders group at the Taylor County Board Office. In addition, leadership teams and principals from all five schools met to determine their needs to address the impacts COVID had on our students this past year and a half. A plan was put together and shared with our local board on May 25, 2021 and the WVDE on June 3, 2021, where we were given permission to begin the process of expenditures of these funds. One requirement of the American Rescue Plan is to receive feedback from the public during a 30 day comment period. We are opening that period today and will close it on July 15, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. We would appreciate your feedback at the following link.

Thank you for your time and thoughts to support the learning, health and safety and infrastructure needs in Taylor County Schools.
Best regards,
